Marshall County Tax Abatement

Category: Local Incentives, Tax Incentives

Marshall County will consider a five-year step down of tax abatements for new construction of business or industry. Marshall County Commissioners will review applications on a case-by-case basis depending on the size of the project and the economic impact of the development.

Financial incentives are also on a case-by-case basis in Britton and Marshall County. Each of the GLAD communities has the power and propensity to adjust the property tax structure, the purchase price of property, and even a “build-to-suit” potential depending on the wants and needs of a potential company looking to start or expand.

  • GLAD has a revolving loan fund that may be applied for in conjunction with other numerous resources that we have access to.
  • The city of Britton has CD Pledge money with its Britton Economic Development (BED) Board.
  • The cities of Langford, Veblen and Eden, through their Economic Development Corporations, have loan funds available.
  • GLAD has access to numerous financial resources that can be packaged for financial assistance including all of our banks and credit union within the region, NESDEC, REED, the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), SBA money, and USDA Rural Development money. GLAD’s partnerships within the financial industry can bring the right lenders to the table and offer an attractive package with these experienced and knowledgeable partners.
