FAULKTON, S.D. (KSFY) - "I've always loved nature, I've always loved animals, and I've always loved family, and those are the virtues that I find here," said Jonathan Imafidor, one of the authors creating a mural is Faulkton.
A year ago, Jonathan Imafidor and his friend, Dotun Popoola of Nigeria received an email about the Faulkton community wanting a mural to be painted for them.
"This is part of what we actually always wanted to do was to let our art spread around communities here to make people happy, to beautify the environment," said Imafidor.
Having painted many murals in South Dakota already, plus hearing about what the community wanted done, the artists couldn't turn down the offer.
"Well this piece is an avenue for me to express my passion for the art, to keep drawing and keep doing art everyday, that's what I live for so I love it, " said Popoola
The passion of art and history are what have made this project a success.
