City to review East River Electric building purchase
Monday, December 17, 2018
The Madison City Commission will consider authorizing the city's funding for the purchase of a service building formerly owned by the East River Electric Power Cooperative when it meets at City Hall.
Officials with East River Electric made a formal announcement on Nov. 1 that the sale of the cooperative's building and lot was finalized on that day. The cooperative used the building located on S. Highland Ave. as a substation maintenance center. The city plans to use the property as the new headquarters and service center for the Madison Electric Department.
